Designed for children and teens ages 5-16. Have fun learning how to “hand-build” projects such as slab cups, clay masks, name plaques, heart shaped boxes, etc. Older students (8 yrs. and older) are able to learn how to “throw” on a pottery wheel, creating bowls, cups, plates, etc. Students learn various glazing techniques using both low fire, and high fire glazes.
Clay Studio + Gallery Inc. provides a positive, creative, and non-competitive work environment.
Please Note: Space is now limited to 6 students per class. Students are required to wear masks, and practice 6′ social distancing due to the Covid-19 virus.
Monthly Class: $240 one four-week session
One four-week session includes everything, i.e., clay, glazes, firing, use of all studio tools + equipment, and our professional instruction.
If a student misses a class we ask that they make it up within the same month of attendance.
Classes do not roll into the following month.
About the Instructor: Esther Alinejad has been teaching ceramics, and art for over 30 years. Esther received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her MFA from the University of Arizona. Esther is an award winning artist, and art instructor. Esther teaches full time. She actively exhibits and sells her functional ceramics + artwork.

We offer private lessons for children, teens, and individuals with special needs and/or disabilities. Students receive private instruction learning how to hand build with clay and/or wheel throw.
