  • Have fun learning how to “throw” on a pottery wheel with our professional instruction.

  • Students will  have fun learning  basic wheel throwing techniques.

  • Our classes are designed to introduce individuals to wheel throwing. In the first three weeks of the class, students will learn both “throwing” and “trimming” techniques. Then your work will be “bisque” fired. In the fourth class students learn the art of “glazing” their wheel thrown pieces.

  • If a student has previous experience, our goal is to improve your skill level by building upon your current technical abilities.

  • The Four Class Schedule is as follows:

  • Week # 1:  Learn how to “throw” bowls

  • Week # 2:  Learn how to “throw” larger bowls + cylinders/cups

  • Week # 3:  Learn how to “pull” handles to create mugs and learn the process of “trimming”

  • Week #4:  In the last/final class learn various “glazing”techniques including low + high fire glazes
